Pro surfer Bede Durbidge gives you the low down on the best breaks, Television Identity Shelley Craft gets excited talking about her favourite haunts for brekky, lunch and dinner, and swim coach supreme Dennis Cottrell tells you why he reckons the Gold Coast is the breeding ground of champions.

After a morning surfing out here at Currumbin Alley I usually go to breakfast with my fiancee Tarin at the Beach Shack just up the road.
When travelling to the Gold Coast you can stay right on the beach at Currumbin Rocks Resort.
Currumbin Beaches are up there with some of the best beaches in the world. We've got perfect point break out here, excellent beach breaks out here and then you've got Burleigh which is world class five kilometres up the beach and there are plenty of options a great place to come if you want to get some waves.
If the beach isn't looking good you can always head up to Currumbin Rock Pools at the back of Currumbin about 10 kilometres from the beach. Its beautiful up there like a rainforest with natural waterslides and big natural pools for the kids to swim in and also you've got the Bird Sanctuary pretty much right on the beach with all the animals just a great day out for the family.
